Why photographs belong to the permanent coin record

For a one-of-one object, photography is identification, examination evidence, and a durable part of the transaction record.

01

The listing should show the coin being sold

Representative photography is inadequate for a collectible whose value and identity depend on its individual surfaces. Obverse, reverse, holder label, and edge views should resolve to the same item number and certification recorded in the listing.

The image set should preserve toning, marks, luster, holder condition, and label information. Cosmetic retouching that changes those facts weakens the record.

02

Different views answer different questions

The obverse and reverse establish the principal surfaces. The holder label connects the photographs to the certification record. The edge can confirm reeding, lettering, seams, or evidence that cannot be evaluated face-on. A luster video adds motion when still images cannot fully show reflection and texture.

03

Carry the images forward

A Nucoins Record can preserve the exact photographs, item number, certification, specifications, population snapshot, and invoice reference associated with a purchase. That continuity gives a future owner a more useful document than a generic product receipt.
